Chambor Extreme Wear Transferproof Liquid Lipstick -401 Review & Swatches

I know I  have been MIA for quite a while now and couldn’t blog much, thanks to my exams but I am back with another post and I hope you like it. So the liquid lipstick trend is slowly but surely catching up in India and even though there are not many options available to us, Chambor comes to the rescue.

MY REVIEW

PACKAGING

It comes in a sleek tube with a black cap housed in a black cardboard packaging. The packaging is see through so you can see the colour as well as the amount of product that is left in the tube. It comes with a doe foot applicator which is fairly easy to use. The shade number is mentioned on the bottom of the tube.Overall the packaging is nice and travel friendly, nothing extraordinary.

COLOUR

Chambor has launched about 18 shades in this range and the shade that I have chosen is 401- Rosemantic and this is a very everyday rosey-pink kind of shade that is very easy to pull off and doesn’t wash you out either. The color deepens slightly after it dries completely so do keep that in mind. It would look good on all skin tones as its’s a universally flattering shade according to me. It has a strong vanilla fragrance which I  personally like a lot.

TEXTURE & LONGEVITY

When you initially apply it, its quite wet but dries to a matte finish after abour 5-10 mins. It is not 100% transferproof like the Colourpop liquid lipsticks and the formula is slightly heavier as compared to other liquid lipsticks.

The formula is very much similar to the Ultra Satin range from Colourpop rather than the Ultra matte range .The pigmentation is quite good and it provides good coverage in a single swipe and I generally do not feel the need to apply a second coat. It’s not very drying like most of the matte lipsticks in the market but you do NEED to exfoliate and hydrate your lips before applying this, otherwise it may look patchy.

Although its not transfer proof, it stays for 6-7 hrs on me, leaves a stain behind and you will need a makeup remover to wipe it off completely. I wouldn’t say this is the best liquid lipstick  i have tried but it still does the job.

PRO’S & CON’S

  1. Wide range of shades for all skintones
  2. comfortable and hydrating on the lips
  3.  pigmentation is very good
  4. staying power is less
  5. may feel a bit heavy as compared to matte liquid lipsticks
  6. NOT transfer proof as it claims to be

RATING: 3/5
