Miss Claire Soft Matte lip cream Swatches,Review & Where to Buy in India

Hi guys!

There has been a lot of hype in the market about the liquid lipsticks lately and today I’ll be reviewing the Miss Claire soft matte lip cream which is not exactly a liquid lipstick but comes quite close to it.

Price: Rs. 250-275

Description:  It’s not lipstick nor is it gloss. It’s like nothing that you have experienced before. It’s lipstick that goes on smoothly but looks matte.

These lipsticks have been quite popular primarily because of their price point. These are very affordable and the price would depend upon where you buy it from. They can cost anywhere between 200-300 if you buy it from those Instagram shops. Recently Habbana has started stocking Miss Claire products and they even have a Buy 3 get 1 free offer going on.  I got mine from Habbana itself.

PACKAGING

The lip cream comes in a color coded tube with a black circular cap. It has a doe foot applicator to apply the product. The packaging is okay, nothing too great but its fine for the price it comes at. The shades have numbers and not names which are indicated at the bottom of the tube. Overall, The packaging is fuss free and travel friendly.

TEXTURE

As it says, its not a lipstick and its not a gloss. It is a lip cream and the texture is more like a mousse/cream. It goes on very smooth and delivers the true color in a single swipe.  The pigmentation is much lesser as compared to a liquid lipstick, so this is actually more of an everyday kind of product.I don’t like using liquid lipsticks on a daily basis and find myself reaching out for this whenever I am in a hurry as its very very light on the lips and gives a soft matte finish.( never dries out my lips)

The finish is more like a satin-matte and not 100% matte which is actually why its so comfortable and lightweight on the lips. It smells strongly of vanilla and probably like a cupcake which makes me want to eat it..LOL. You need to  moisturise your lips beforehand as it can get stuck to the dry patches imparting a patchy finish.

LONGEVITY

They last on my lips for around 2.5-3 hrs(without a meal)  after which it starts to fade a little but it fades almost completely after a meal leaving a soft tint behind. The staying power is quite less so you would require frequent touch-ups if you’re wearing this to a party  or an occasion. These are considered to be the dupes for NYX soft matte lip cream but I don’t have those so cant really compare the two. Even Lakme has recently launched its lip creams and I want to try it out but the colours aren’t very appealing to me :/

MISS CLAIRE SMLC-30

This shade is actually a part of the new shades that Miss Claire has launched recently. This is actually a very pretty pink colour that would suit all skintones. It is a bright coral pink with a  cool undertone that would look very nice paired with Indian outfits. If you have a wheatish skintone and you’re looking for a bright pink color that doesn’t look very stark but still festive ,you should definitely go for this. This is just a tad bit darker than Crosswires by MAC.

MISS CLAIRE SMLC-47

This is also a new shade and one of my favorites to be honest. Its the perfect everyday nude shade specially for medium skintones but it may wash out someone over NC-40.Its a very warm toned color perfect for college or office goers 🙂
