Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick Review ,Swatches: Bluffing, Trespassing Taupe, Bootleg Brown

Hi guys!

I recently shopped from the Nykaa sale and these Rimmel eyeshadow sticks are my favorite from the lot. These colors are a new addition to the Scandaleyes range and Rimmel has just hit the right notes with all these browns and nudes that were missing in the previous collection.

So I’ll be reviewing three shades today, 011-Bluffing,     015-Trespassing Taupe,     014-Bootleg Brown

Price: Rs 400 for 3.25 gm

Description:      Intense 24 HR colour applies in a flash , Ultra-soft creamy formula with a luminous finish , Glides easily,  Waterproof & smudge proof.

The eyeshadow comes in a stick form that needs to be sharpened which is a bummer 😦  I wish that they came in a retractable form as it’s so much more easier to handle with lesser product wastage. The packaging is color coded so it would be easier to locate them if you own a lot of these.

Coming to the texture, these are very creamy and easy to apply. They blend easily, are not chalky at all and deliver intense colour in a single swipe. I wouldn’t say that these are the smoothest and creamiest eyeshadows I have used, but at this price tag there’s nothing I can complain about. Out of the three shades that I got, I think that Bootleg Brown was a little more difficult to blend as compared to the other two.

Also, they make for a great base to layer the powder eyeshadows on top which extends their wear time. They can be used with or without a primer, but using a primer underneath gives a more intense color and also makes them last longer. I have used these with an eyeshadow primer and they lasted around 5-6 hrs on me with a bit of fading but nothing major which is certainly better if you wear a powder eyeshadow alone.

In my opinion these eyeshadows are a steal at the price they come at and you should definitely pick one from the collection to see how it fares for you . The new collection consists of so many neutral shades perfect for creating a quick smokey eye or a subtle neutral look.

I have also tried the Faces eyeshadow crayons, and I think even though they are more creamier than the Rimmel ones but they are slightly on the costlier side. The review for the Faces eyeshadow crayons would be coming soon.

The shade bluffing can be described as a shimmery champagne shade leaning towards the pink side. It is perfect for an everyday look but since it has shimmer, the intensity can get reduced if you blend it too much.  When you’re not in the mood to use 10 eyeshadows but still want to look put together, this is the shade you would go for.

As the name suggests, this is a brown/taupe eyeshadow and one of my favorites from the range. It’s a cool toned matte shade that blends very easily. You can use it for blending the eyeshadows, or even wear it on its own for an easy office/formal look. I like to wear this underneath bluffing and they make a great combination.

Swatch of Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow- Trespassing Taupe

This is a dark brown, chocolatey matte shade with intense pigmentation. This is a multitasker shade that can be used to define the crease or the outer corner of the eye and also acts as a great base for the smokey eye look. Can also be worn as a smudged liner on the top lid.
