Hi guys…So I was just watching Koffee with Karan- the Shahid and Mira episode and I think Mira just nailed it completely….right from the outfit and makeup to her calm and composed vibes…she has always been on point. Her minimalistic style is what appeals to me and not to forget the mushy love though 😉
Coming back to the topic…I’ll be reviewing the Maybelline Fit me Matte+ Poreless Foundation. Maybelline launched this foundation in India a while back but I so wanted to get my hands on the Dewy+Smooth variant that has been launched in the US (not launched in India yet) since my skin is more on the drier side during winters.
Price: Rs.525 (30ml)
Description: Mattifies and refines pores and leaves a natural, seamless finish. Ideal for normal to oily skin, our exclusive formula with micro-powders controls shine and blurs pores. Leaves a natural, seamless finish. Dermatologist tested. Allergy tested. Non-comedogenic.
The foundation comes in a square glass bottle with a black cap and the packaging is quite nice. The affordable price tag makes it one of the best drugstore foundation available in India. However one of the downside is that it does not contain a pump so I cannot say whether it would make for a good travel friendly product.
Coming to the shade range, Maybelline has done a fairly good job as there is a shade available for every skintone. Very few drugstore brands have a shade selection for warmer skintones as good as this one. (although more shades have been launched abroad)
They have launched 6 shades in India- 115- Ivory, 128- Warm Nude, 230- Natural Buff, 310 -Sun Beige, 322- Warm Honey, 330- Toffee Caramel
The first 2 shades are suitable for light to fair skintones, the 3rd and 4th one would be suitable for medium Indian complexions whereas the last 2 are suitable for dusky complexions.
I am somewhere around NC 35-38 in MAC and initially I picked up 310 Sun beige which was actually turned out to be quite dark. So I had to pick up the lighter shade 230- Natural Buff which was quite a good match but it oxidises after some time.
So you need to keep in mind that this foundation does oxidise and pick up the shade accordingly.
I think 230- Natural buff would be a good match for someone around NC 35-38 (yellow undertones) whereas 310 -Sun Beige would be suitable for NC-40 complexions as it has an orange undertone to it.

Texture and Coverage
The texture of this foundation is what really sets it apart from other foundations. It is a liquid foundation which is slightly runny and blends beautifully on the skin. You don’t require a lot of effort to blend it out but still priming and moisturising is a must since it can be a little drying on the skin.
I don’t usually need to powder my face after using this because my skin is more on the dry-normal side but oily skinned beauties would require powder touchups. It stays on my skin for a good 4-5 hrs without any touch-ups and shine on my face.
It blends best with a beauty blender or a brush and blending with your fingers is not the best bet with this foundation. I like to use my buffing brush with this and it provides the most beautiful finish which is perfect for everyday use or even for those special occasions since it doesn’t leave a white cast or any flashback in pictures.(Thanks to no SPF!)
Coverage-wise I would say it provides a medium coverage which can be easily built up to a full coverage without looking streaky or patchy.
